About NYCMCC
The Mission
The mission of NYCMCC is to make coaching more effective and rewarding for our coaches and for clients!
Purpose
To seek greatness, and have a great time doing it!
Vision
Hundreds of NY Coaches and non-coaches from inside and outside NY regard the chapter as the center and source of information, language and inspiration.
The center will develop and maintain its own database and website. It will do what seems appropriate to support the membership and the growth of coaching.
Coaches will experience lecture, discussion and study-group information to transform their practices. Coaches will have the opportunity to mentor other coaches, and to add potential coaches as clients.
Non-coaches will find this a place of surprise and enlightenment - where they will see and experience the power of coaching and want it in their life.
I’m Craig Jennings. I started this chapter about 6 years ago, when Coachville first burst on the scene.
Our vision is unchanged.
Coaches are supposed to be people-persons, engaging, in relationship with one another, with everyone.
Why is it that they spend most of their time at home, behind a keyboard and a monitor?
I figured that the New York City Midtown Coaching Center would be a great place to meet other coaches, and to learn more about coaching.
But first we had to create it. We average 10-30 members per meeting and we haven’t missed a monthly meeting since we started in the year 2000.
Come join us and meet our membership. It’s very much better that a headset and a monitor. You can count on learning much more and having a lot more fun than if you sat at home.
About Craig Jennings
I’ve been a coach for 7 years – working with small businesses and entrepreneurs.
After a career which a friend pictured as “a train wreck,” including some adventures in entrepreneurship such as commercial deep sea diving and underwater hull cleaning, advertising agency ownership, import-export, computer training, and business management, suddenly small business coaching appeared to me as “what I liked best to do.” In fact, it’s become “a calling.”
I’ve lived a long life already, and I’m extraordinarily grateful that I’ve lived long enough to finally figure out that I should be a coach. What I get out of coaching with friends and clients far exceeds what I have to put into it.
Come visit me when you can, and let me coach you if you like.
